This excellent restaurant, brewery and distillery is a bit off the beaten path, about half hour off Route 80. However its worth the side trip. Not only are the spirits great but where else can you have your meal on a former grand old bank. The food was fantastic. The meat candy and the bacon wrapped date appetizers were amazing. The jambalaya was spot on and the portions are just right. Jeff, one of the owners, gave us the grand tour of this beautiful building. Great place for weddings and other functions. This will definitely be a regular on my trips from NYC to Chicago.

My wife and I visited the Exchange for brunch on our anniversary. She had the espresso martini while I had the Kentucky Mule. Both were outstanding. Our appetizer was the meat candy which may be one of my favorite things I've ever put in my mouth. For our meals we both had the Smashburger which were done to perfection. As a side, I had the onion rings, which as an onion ring snob I will judge any restaurant by their rings. There are house made with a coating made of.....pork rinds. They are the best combination of two wonderful ingredients. Thank you Jeff for the tour of the vault and for the wonderful meal and atmosphere.

The Exchange has great service, atmosphere, food and drinks. We had the absolute best smash burger we ever had! The craft beers are very good too. We also had bourbon and gin and ended up buying several bottles. The owner, Jeff, is very friendly and is happy to share the history on The Exchange. Thank you for a great time and we will definitely be back!

What a amazing find, after riding from Parker in the bike trail we ended up here. First thing you notice is the building, it's beautiful and the safe is really cool to check out. For apps we had the onion rings and hush puppies both were excellent then ty o dinner we had the BJ burgers and they didn't disappoint great taste and a nice side of fries. When all of the food to this point was so good you have to get dessert and here we definitely over ordered. We each order something so cannoli cookie and ice cream and the puffs all tasted excellent. This is truly a hidden gem and the food and atmosphere will rival any 5 star restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Jeff and Helena were amazing. We were blown away when we ate the food and deserts, they were delicious and fairly priced. It’s a hidden gem in Oil City for sure. We came from Ohio, and almost want to go back to Oil City just for the Exchange Restaurant experience. Ask For Jeff and a Historical tour while at the restaurant as well.

I was born in Oil City but now live in the Philadelphia area. I come back about twice a year and have been looking forward to the Exchange since I learned about it. We met Jeff immediately. You can always tell when someone loves what they do. Jeff gave us a mini tour with a history lesson. We got the dates wrapped in bacon, Seneca street noodles, and the Edmund’s cut. Everything was amazing. For drinks, I got the bloom and the giggle water. The giggle water was a recommendation by the waitress and I was shocked to find that I loved it. We will 100% be back on our next trip and I’m so glad to see Oil City making a comeback.

Exchange is one of those rare places that manages to honor its history while feeling fresh and modern. Housed in a beautifully renovated old bank, the restaurant still carries hints of its past with vaulted ceilings, rich architectural details, and a sense of character that you just can’t create from scratch. The result is a very cool, inviting atmosphere that feels both upscale and comfortable. The food is outstanding: flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly crafted with care. Every dish feels like a step above the usual, and the drinks are just as impressive. They were delicious and perfect for pairing with the meal or enjoying on their own. Our server, Lily, was wonderful. Warm, friendly, and attentive, she made the experience even better with her easygoing personality and great recommendations. Exchange isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a vibrant part of the community. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner, celebrating an occasion, or just grabbing a drink, it’s the kind of place that makes you glad it’s in town. Highly recommend!

It’s such a great thing to see this building bringing something new to Oil City, after decades of sitting unused. You can tell the building was lovingly renovated, honoring the history of the original 1920s bank. The restaurant has an upscale, yet comfortable vibe, and the food and drinks are great! Service was very friendly. It’s wonderful to see something like this come to OC. I’ll be back again!

I was reluctant about going because of the Cajun twist, how ever it turned out to be amazing. The frog legs were small but full flavor, we tried it plain. The smoked wings in buffalo flavor were amazing. I would order those as meal they were packed full of flavor. The smash burger was two patties with lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, added bacon and cheddar cheese with a pickle on top. The shrimp and grits with peppers and onions some of the best I have ever tasted. I was looking forward to the catfish but they ran out, so pulled pork po boy with coleslaw on a bun was so tasty. Enjoyed the old fashion, and the getaway driver. The elderflower seltzer is mild and refreshing. And the jet lag relief pale ale is a popular choice making you want to take some home. Side hustle is located in a time capsule with so much history and Jeff was enthusiastic about sharing the history.

Wonderful addition to the area. Building is beautiful. We love Cajun food and were so excited to see frog legs on the menu. Was hesitant about the buffalo sauce being on them but it was a really nice flavor combo. Steak was tender with excellent fries and chimichurri sauce. Husband wanted Jumbalaya but it had sold out, opted for the fried catfish and it was a fresh hot generous portion and even better adding some dry Cajun that was with the salt and pepper at the table. Beignets were tasty with a lovely espresso flavored cream on the side. Also tried the elderflower blackberry seltzer (love my seltzers) and ended up buying an entire case. Hope to see you guys stay here for many years to come will be back!
